ABOUT US
THE PITTSBURGH WOMEN’S BALL HOCKEY LEAGUE, FOUNDED IN 2020, DOUBLED IN SIZE TO 150 PLAYERS ACROSS 2 LEAGUE NIGHTS IN OUR FIRST YEAR. WE ARE COMPRISED OF WOMEN OF ALL AGES AND SKILL LEVELS AND ARE THE LARGEST WOMEN’S BALL HOCKEY LEAGUE IN WESTERN PA.
Our Mission
The Pittsburgh Women’s Ball Hockey League fosters a sense of belonging in an athletic community that supports all skill levels and abilities. We seek to empower girls and women in our Pittsburgh sports community by providing opportunities for leadership, training, accessibility, affordability, and increased athletic programming. We champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all facets of our league and community.
OUR PROGRAMS
We offer two league nights that include a Draft League and a pre-rostered Teams League. Beginners are encouraged to enter the draft league first, as the teams are more evenly balanced by skill. Teams League is a great place to join once you have been introduced to more folks and can join a team with friends.
DONATE
The PWBHL is a 501c3 non-profit organization that relies on the benevolence of donors to provide programming and athletic opportunities to young girls and women of the Greater Pittsburgh region. Your donation will help us not only sustain our organization, but to grow and provide opportunities for women and girls for years to come.
